I hate to go there but you all need to get out more if think is a raid.

Go ask blacks in Chicago when they kick down the door, turn the home upside down, handcuff children, put guns in their face and in rare cases gun down innocent individuals if it is a movie scene!!!

I would guess that they didn't want to show up guns drawn at 4am to a site protected by the secret service.

Oh come on, I was asking what the difference was because you called those a raid and Trump's a search. If that is indeed the differentiator, what is your source for such a distinction between search and raid?

No when they conduct raids it is usually not pretty. Because we would have seen pictures by now if they did.

The FBI is well aware of this as well. Would’ve been very damaging to them for the world to see such photos.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make. Many have been saying things along the lines of, "if it can happen to Trump, it can happen to anyone!" But I think it has been happening to everyone far worse than what happened to Trump. Like you say, more people than we care to count have been shot in shoot first ask later raids based on little evidence or mistaken identities/locations, etc.

My point was only that "raids" are now being defined by it looking like a movie scene. A calm methodical search with no damage can also be a raid. That LE often harm people and property in unlawful raids is a much bigger but unrelated problem.

The same way that NPR explains it. What it says on a document doesn’t define what happened, nor does it define common vernacular.

The description I gave shows what a real "raid" is.

Do any search warrants ever use the word raid? Did the Manafort/Stone warrants say "raid"?

Why are you saying Fox? I only gave NPR as an example above, but a quick Google search will show that most news outlets are using the word raid, from the NYT to the BBC. Even blatantly LW pubs like the New Yorker. How do you explain them using raid when the warrant said search?

Raids were just a certain type of prank - going into another bunk's room while they were sleeping/away to pull some kind of prank
