Because if they deviated from standard practice that is a problem.
Aside for this, to me it was striking that the lawyer described being shown the warrant from a distance, and then finding out that she was actually given a copy. It seemed like she made something up out of thin air. I now see that while she may have been misleading, she was describing an event that actually took place.
I also now understand why some people on the Trump team thought that they were not given a copy. They had probably heard about them not giving it all day and did not get the message that it was given at the end.
