Is Amazon's customer service down the tubes?
« on: August 11, 2022, 09:26:59 AM »
Hi all!
I used to like Amazon, to a large degree because if there is any issues, then I can get customer service who can help me resolve it.

Recently I've been having terrible service.
Just today, I called and the lady was not helpful and understanding the issue, and she even Hung up on me.

I think I am ready to dump Amazon.
Is anyone feeling the same?

I’ve stopped paying for Prime and have switched exclusively to Walmart+.  Saves a lot of money, the same day service is better, and the customer service has been great.

Maybe patronize Walmart, or find an alternative.
(The thing that I'm annoyed about today is that I by mistake ordered something using my gift card balance, which I didn't want to. I switched the payment method right after, and my cc was charged. Yet it still shows the deduction pending 2 days later. They kept insisting that my cc was charged, and I said so why is it still deducting from my gift card balance, and she hung up.
Another recent incident was I ordered a $300 phone on prime day, and received a sealed shipping box which 2 other items. However the phone box was open and no phone. I tried calling a few times and they insisted that they can't do anything unless I get a police report. So I called the police, and told them what happened, and they said they can't write a police report, because this is Amazon screwed up. I called back Amazon, and no go with them. So I ended upset disputing it with the cc (which ironically was an Amazon branded card).)

So with the missing phone I did, probably around 6 times.
(Then when I spoke to them after I Disputed the charge with my cc, and I called Amazon a few days later, They said why didn't you tell us 1st!!!!!)

I did notice that when you get the calling center in South Africa, that they are good. (I like asking them where they are and where's the good places to check out there ;)
