Hi we are planning on going to Utah last week of august, family of 6- 4 kids ages 4-12.
Right now we are booked to fly in and out of Vegas, taking Sunday am flight jfk- Vegas and on the red eye back Thursday night.
I am trying to convince husband that we would fly into salt lake and head toward Moab and get the parks there and then eventually fly out of Vegas and by that stay in Vegas for shabbos so get an extra day
First question I have is- is arches, canyon land and that area worth it for all the extra driving that will come with it.
2) can anyone help plan the itinerary of things to go to/ places (besides the obvious in the national parks of Zion and Bryce) to go to..
We are planning on doing one day antelope canyon, horse shoe and possibly lake Powell if can find half day boat rental.
We were thinking of renting house in kanab and making that our base (that’s if we do the just fly in and out of Vegas Sunday thru Thursday trip). We r open to changing sleeping locations if it makes more sense even for the Sunday- Thursday trip.
We would love to do some adventure of Rapelling/ atv, possibly horseback riding (if can find a place that would let little kids).
Would also love to hear/ know of the different hikes (not extreme like angels landing cuz hub and kids def are not “Real hikers.”)
