this seems like a no brainer. i dont understand miles so well and i dont travel often but if i transfer the 70k miles to alaska at 1:1 and sell for 1.4 each, minus the 99$ annual fee, this nets me a profit of close to $900, and only one purchase needed...am i reading this situation correctly? any downsides i am missing? thanks

Definitely a great opportunity. If you fly domestic at all, you can easily use them all up yourself, no sales needed.

Besides 5/24 I don't see a negative.

Please let us know if you try
Sorry for the blurry picture, but this seems pretty clear there would not be a charge.

Yes pretty simple but I doubt this goes for 1.4 these days
You would be surprised.  Ppl willing to pay at least 1.35 for the miles.
Even though ppl have amex. You need to pay a small transfer fee to hawiian and then to alaska. So as long as you find someone willing to do that for you. Or transfer from their hawiian account to yours. Assuming they have the card to transfer for free. Ppl may just opt to pay the extra at 1.35 to book asap.

Does anyone know of this credit card is a “Lifetime” that you can only get once? Has anyone had any luck getting this card more than once?

I doubt it. It’s technically the same card it seems, but doing with Barclays deff the better/simpler option IMO.
I opened with BoH and asked them if I can also apply for the Barclays and they said it's a different card with similar benefits.

I didn't apply for Barclays. Trying to figure out if I should wait to apply or just do it now.
