Folios Of What Hotels Get Paid For Award Nights

Hotels sometimes accidentally print the amount that corporate is supposed to pay them for an award night on your folio.

Cash price at time of booking $200+
Hotel accidentally charged me $38, which is what they’re supposed to get from IHG, instead of using my certificate!
Unfortunately they caught on it when I questioned the charge… :-\

Got billed around $200 per night for suite upgrade I used at Park Hyatt Aviara which was removed at checkout

so marriott actually received more money from you the they gave the hotel besides the points they deducted.
It does seem like for a sold out hotel they get much more.

He's assuming corporate collected the $100 from C&P and paid only $51 to the hotel. My guess is the hotel gets the $100 too and the $51 is for the points portion of C&P.
