It’s more porous?
Quartzite is. That is why you need to seal it and IMNE reseal it every so often.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

At any rate, marble is certainly a bigger question.

Who has personal experience Quartzite vs. Granite?
Jews ≠ Zionists
Palestinians ≠ Hamas
Satmar ≠ SatmarHQ

For Jews that hold that Granite/Quartzite can be kashered but Quartz/Marble can't :)

Is it normal for quartzite to have "natural cracks"?

In the picture attached you can see the grains, it is very rough on the touch

Yes. A good and proper buffing and seal should make it smooth, at least IME.

While on topic anyone know of a good service that does this? Mine are about 2 years old and a very light color... need to reseal..... Looking for a Jersey based place. While I think it looks great and would install them again, definitely not as forgiving as Quartz.

Is resealing a job that needs a pro? I was going to do it myself- bought a small bottle of impregnator 511 and plan to use it the same way i normally clean the counter. Is there more to the job than that?

I’m not sure. I think a regular seal is not a big deal. My counters probably need more than that though. It’s a white clearish color. Very unforgiving, but it looks nice…

Is it normal for quartzite to show (disappearing) stains every time it gets wet with plain water?

See attached example, it disappears after a while (haven't exactly times it but it's definitely more than 15 minutes)
