This is the one made by CSO Radio.
I am not aware of any other ones.
They can bring the van to Lakewood and have them install it or have their local mechanic do it.

Do you see anyone offering this option online for minivans? If not, the reason is obvious.
not really. Probably more style and comfort influence . I despise the built in center console between the seats on minivans. I wish it were clip in , clip out. Doesn't mean it's there for safety.
Not denying modern safety doesn't play a role but I think style and comfort play an equal role here

Yup.  Comfort, so the driver has place for her pocketbook and phone, since it's not expected that anyone would need another seat in a vehicle already equipped with 7 or 8 seats.
I am asking about after-market addons not why there wasn't one there in the first place.

Their instructions are for installing it in the middle row for mini-vans.

No one finds it odd we can't find any companies installing these in the first row?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

no real market for it. So to comply with safety standards wouldn't be worth it.

That is assuming they could comply with safety standards. Let's remember since this will most likely be a smaller seat, I am going to assume it will be for a child. Do you really want to put your child at risk?

Either way it’s an extremely limited market and not a profitable business…

I agree but I am looking at it from a safety aspect. IMHO that is not possible.

Why would the install be significantly different between the front and middle row?

The main issue would be an airbag and the main occupant of the seat. Then you have the configuration of the van of what is directly in front of the seat.

Is putting your child in the front row that much more unsafe than the middle or back row?
Don't even try it.

I'm guessing it's a rhetorical question but if not, the answer is yes, it is more unsafe.

What age are you talking about? Any child in a car seat or booster, yes.

As far as coping mechanisms go, DDF isn’t that bad…

At that price, just trade in for a bigger vehicle.
