NJ Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday

NJ will implement a sales tax holiday from August 27 til September 5 for school supplies, computers, and other school-related materials. Certain items have price caps, such as computers which must be less than $3,000 to qualify.

Any insight on how this will work? It's not mentioned in the FAQs. Will it only work for NJ stores shipping to a NJ address? What about a NJ store shipping to a NY address? Or a large retailer shipping to NJ?

Why would it apply to a NJ store shipping to NY where the NY sales tax should apply? It would be nice, but I can’t see how this would remove NYS sales tax regardless of seller location.
