Sometimes it's the only option lol. This is Kenya Airways, I've flown them a million times and they're typically great. But they don't handle irrops very well.

Why do customer service reps just lie and insist that they're telling the truth?!?!

It's so frustrating to here them tell you its impossible, there's no way, there's no such thing, Its impossible that you have done this previously (when you know you have!), it cant be done etc. but after enough hours you finally accomplish it yourself

They were probably not lying. If you are speaking to a rep who doesn't know how to do something, don't waste time arguing with them, HUCA.

Not necessarily. I once asked a rep who, upon insistence, spoke to their supervisor and got whatever needed to be done. I wondered why he had claimed it was impossible earlier..he wasn't too pleased.

I thought it was quoting someone speaking about her, but even such a quote does not appear in the story.
