Serious Q: What would SCOTUS rule on this? IMHO it would quite difficult to prove that these guidelines violate Judaism. Unless Chassidim will try to present themselves as a variant form of Judaism, I don't know how much merit this would have as it stands now. Especially as we are talking about elementary school when WVY was about High School.

First as you acknowledge this was about after grammar school. It was also about them basically home schooling their children after 8th grade. For you to point to this case was completely bogus.

1 the nyt article
2 the BOR being pressured by yaffed  change our way of life

I don't read that paper. It was a one-sided hit piece. Was it hate? It very well could be, but I would need to read the paper to make that decision. Nowhere have I said, insinuated or argued that it wasn't hate.

Well some of them have a strong objection to learning/teaching the English language FWIU. They say it is against their religion. What standing do you have to dispute that? Nada!

If I may paraphrase the Count:
The NYT published a hate filled article and if they would have any morals, they would publish a front page apology for the sewage they fed to the masses.

However, based on reading the vitriol, I'm assuming that yeshivas may not be educating their students as required by law. I think the yeshivas should follow the law.
I think that an equivalent standard should be kept for all the public schools in NYS as well.

If they don't want to learn English let them go back to the sh*thole country they came from.
