You missed the point. They are fine with revolving door justice and also fine with failing public schools (flush with government cash 10X the amount Yeshivas ever got per kid), but very busy enforcing education laws on Orthodox Jews.

This is a very existential argument, that is impossible to prove one way of another.

If I didn't grow up orthodox, would I be orthodox now? I'd like to think so, as I love my life and wouldn't trade it for anything. BUT...

(Basically I can't say I disagree with you per se, but I do if it means forcing parents to teach things they don't want to.)

What in the world makes you sure of that? Wouldn't that actually be an insult to someone like Dan or JJ? It's like saying "you came out of Yeshiva with nothing more to show than a public school grad".

The Haskalah founders and big names were top scholars and great minds, often big talmidei chacamim too, who sadly dedicated their life to uproot our sacred traditions and way of life. These people are a bunch of failed drug addicts.

They should be enforced for secular people. Not deeply religious groups who’ve been educating their children in certain ways for hundreds of years. That would be quite contrary to the core values of this country.
