Verizon Wireless - Terminating Plan

Hi,

My office received a letter stating that we breached their t&c and they are terminating our lines in 30 days. They say we cant port the numbers and they want to charge early termination fees. They wont give any reasons why or which terms were breached.

Apparently numerous people received the same letter. Anyone else get this on here?

Who regulates cell phones?  The FCC? Get in touch with them to see if this can be over ruled.
Especially not being able to port your numbers!

Good idea. Will try filing a complaint.
Where did you signup for the plan?
Not sure. We opened the plan over 15 years ago. It wasnt a "shtick" plan. Was the going rates at the time.

Simcha Eichensteins office said over 150 businesses called that they've received the same notices

What do you mean? We have over over 20 phones on the account, including a few tablets with service.

some people want to have a second phone with the same number usually a basic phone for talk only, so they add a connected device and then put the sim card in a basic phone

My local verizon dealer told that he can do it but verizon doesn't want it to be used like that, but maybe it's nothing because from my understanding they only closed business accounts and this would affect a personal account also

I thought you were asking because you had real data that may be beneficial in this circumstance. I'm not going around to every person in my company asking if they did this so you can have reassurance if you do it.  :o

How does this work?  I would line to add a basic phone but can't be busy always setting up call forwarding so if I could have the same number on 2 phones, it will be perfect

I was trying  to get data to see if this is the reason but it doesn't appear to be the reason.
I did speak with a victim who told me that he lucked in with a rep when he called and they released all the numbers on his account, the rep told him that there is a fraud alert on the account and that's why it was shut down but wouldn't elaborate what caused the fraud alert
