Cant port to tmobile or any non Verizon service?
But there aren't flips?
Read the thread and you will have your answer
Hi, My office received a letter stating that we breached their t&c and they are terminating our lines in 30 days. They say we cant port the numbers and they want to charge early termination fees. They wont give any reasons why or which terms were breached.Apparently numerous people received the same letter. Anyone else get this on here?
Sole proprietorship?
Good idea. Will try filing a complaint. Not sure. We opened the plan over 15 years ago. It wasnt a "shtick" plan. Was the going rates at the time. Simcha Eichensteins office said over 150 businesses called that they've received the same notices
okay so then it is about using an ineligible device for that plan. I could hear that causing a shut down.
Isn’t that a violation of portability laws? (Or are they just holding the numbers hostage if ETF fees aren’t paid)?
Seriously? You could hear a multibillion-dollar company shutting down entire accounts with corporations because they are using ineligible devices?? (And not telling them the reason?) No way. It's about them knowingly or unknowingly exploiting a loophole that is making Verizon lose money. There is no way they would shut someone down if it wasn't hurting their bottom line.
@Dan have you seen this?If a single public office is aware of 150 companies that got such a letter there must be thousands. How can they hold the numbers hostage? Isn’t that a violation of portability laws? (Or are they just holding the numbers hostage if ETF fees aren’t paid)?
Update: Verizon is allowing us to port out our numbers. Still no indication as to why they are terminating us though
As long as they're allowing porting, not much of a story here.Sprint terminated my 18 line business plan a decade ago. Never said why, but c'est la vie.
I bet your 18-line business plan had way more shtick in its history than @whacked1’s Verizon plan
From what i'm told our plan was not opened with shtick. Note, we were told by verizon we cant port. Only through Eichensteins office are they allowing us to port (or so we were currently told)
In theory, if you had the time and money, you could probably demand to go to an arbitrator (as per the T&C).
