Sorry, didn't receive notifications for some reason. Yes $5k is the cost for the reservation (above the MSRP). The order was put on hold with an expected delivery date by Sept. 18th

There are different ways of doing it depending on what stage the order is in and different settings permitted on the account. I act as a broker finding buyers & sellers for reservations and manage the transfer process to help ensure Tesla doesn't cancel the order as it is not so easily done. Feel free to PM me

Everyone has a different reason - some bought to sell because of price appreciation, some thought they needed 1 but don't now, some don't like it, etc. No 1 answer for everyone
