USB drives have other risks. What I was discussing was online crypto wallets like CoinBase.

SIM-swapping isn’t just crypto, I know people who’ve had funds stolen from their bank account, this was discussed on those podcasts as well. That’s a part of the industry, recruiting unsuspecting mules to receive the money (via incoming bank transfers or other electronic payment methods) and methods of tricking them into thinking there’s something legit going on.

It's not disturbing that a cellphone number is public info, it used to be that a cellphone is private and you only give it to close people, nowadays it's like/more than a home phone, and home phone info is in the directory
True Caller is the same (or more) "Public" than DDF, so if it's there why not here (and in the meantime save some more people info from going public when the person asking would’ve logged in...)

Do TrueCaller records come up in google searches?

IIRC it is crowd sourced from members, there's another thread discussing this where people posted funny names they found on the app
