Priceline - can you cancel half a trip?

Booked a flight through Priceline that has Delta NS going and ITA stopping in Italy on way back. Although the Priceline booking said advanced seat selection included, when I tried to do it through ITA and there was no option.

I called Priceline who told me to call ITA who said that its another $12 from TLV to FCO and $60 from FCO to JFK.

What happens if I cancel the ITA leg? Will I be able to get a decent return through Delta or will it be treated like a OW flight?

I tried during the refund/cancellation window and they said that I could only cancel the whole reservation and rebook, but the new flight on Delta was going to be $200 more, so I did not.
