After seeing discussions of this elsewhere, I called up Citi and told them that the 1% cb on my Dividend card wasn't enough for me to use it, and said I may cancel it. The friendly cs rep offered my 5% cb on all purchases for the next 6 months which I happily accepted. She did tell me that the cb is still limited to $300 per year which will obviously limit it's use, but it's still s/t.
The 5% does not include their rotating cb categories which are 5% each quarter (this quarter they are health care, and 2 other categories), which would increase the cb to 9%. In addition, the $300 limit doesn't apply to cb earned through their cash back mall, which I have never used.
If anyone has any ideas how to use their cb mall to increase the take, I'd be glad to hear your suggestions.
