People that actually have skin in the game are generally more diligent. You'd think FiveThirtyEight should also have their entire credibility and business up in the air too, but doesn't seem to come to that. Bottom line, your customer base wants to hear what they want to hear and you can oops later.

The mosdos that endorsed Zeldin today have had 2 meetings scheduled with Hochul she cancelled both and showed a general disinterest in the communities needs, while Zeldin was actively trying to gain these endorsements and spent a nice amount of time in our neighborhoods.
This comes to show how she took these votes for granted, will be interesting to see how this plays out, this might turn out to be the tie-breaker.

It's too difficult/long for me to read the whole thing on my phone, but a few lines that stuck out make it seem to me this is not an endorsement of Hochul - the opposite actually. It's more a like, "she's probably going to win, so we better be on her side".
