  • Sautéed zucchini with dill, parsley and cilantro (dried or fresh) and granulated garlic and onion
  • Smashed Potatoes
  • Leeks and onions in tomato sauce
  • Roasted broccoli (with garlic, onion and paprika)
  • Tomato salad (with fresh basil and garlic)
  • Beet salad (beets, lemon juice, cilantro, cumin)
  • Eggplant in olive oil (eggplant, lots of olive oil, red peppers (capsicum))

Anyone got a easy starter for yom tov by day? Without sweet potato or zucchinis - also not huge fan of tomatoes or veg in tomato sauce . Thanks

Well there's always fish (which can be cold or warm. Try some freshly cooked Ahi tuna with a black pepper crust. Fresh out of the pan, still pink in the middle, it's amazing (even cold it's good). There's also a "crab" (kani) salad, or you can make it into a "pizza" (layering sushi rice, kani, avocado, and topping with drizzles of spicy mayo and soy sauce, all made in a spring form pan with sides removed to serve). There's also meat pizza (pre-made pizza crust if you want to take a short cut, like the rectangle one from Trader Joe's).

pastrami eggrolls? if you don't like frying you can put the mixture in the middle of a puff pastry square and fold the corners in, seal with water and bake
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

RE: beef jerky, ive made it using a recipe that calls for using the oven on low temps and it came out pretty good. Is using a dehydrator that much better?

That'd depend on how low your oven can go really, but often a dehydrator can go lower.

Is that the lowest your oven goes? Or just your recipe?

I've been doing a cooking time of 4 hours at 175°, flip halfway through. Comes out great (even my 2yo that never eats steak type foods is a fan).

Haven't done a comparison of shorter time at higher temp, but from trying to mimic (or as close as possible) a dehydrator, the lower temp the better.

The blade used in a food processor to make kugel/koogel.
I bought the ninja blender/food processor on prime day and I want to know if I can get a kugel blade for it since it doesn't come with one.

Most times it's simply referred to as an S blade in a food processor. Just FYI, I would definitely not try using a blender instead, as you'll end up with potato soup, especially when using a high powered blender like a Ninja.
