Anyone got good arbes/chickpeas recipe? I like them nicely spiced but not too hot
2 cans chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
1-2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar dissolved in hot water
1/4-1/2 tsp. black/white pepper
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
Put the chickpeas in a container. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over them. Refrigerate until well marinated and flavorful (you may need to flip over the container).
