At the start I had no idea who shot her. I saw the arguments of both sides. Now it seems Israel shot her.

I am not sure if Israel ever said the other side did it definitively, did they?

But if they did, I wasn't convinced either way and now there store seems like a plausible one, but again I still don't see any definitive proof on who the shot was from or their intentions. Not do I see claims of it being definitive.

So do I believe a likely narrative, sure. But that doesn't mean I know who did or didn't do anything, just what could have happened.

Ok so let's have an independent FBI investigation to try and find out what did actually happen.

Israel should welcome an independent FBI probe to clear this up!!!

No sovereign nation should welcome an outside governments investigation into their internal affairs as a matter of policy. It would open themselves up to horrible potential complications.

The fact that initial reports and findings contradict later ones is to be expected.

Especially when it was reported they had the bullet that killed her. 

As for trusting Israel, I dare say Israel has a better track record of punishing its soldiers and LEOs than America does.

Or the surfside tower collapse and all foreigners killed there, there was likely many at fault for that.

It's an awful idea to welcome outside investigations.

Chicago PD, NYPD, FBI, etc, etc, will no longer solely investigate deaths in the US. They will do it in conjunction with foreign intelligence agencies and police forces to reach the best conclusions.

@CountValentine The US itself has said many times that it will not be a party to foreign investigations, which is why it is not a party of the ICC and many others. You can read the many statements the US has made regarding efforts by terrorists to bring Israel to kangaroo courts and they spell out clearly why the US would never be a party to these type of investigations, and here they went and made one themselves.

From what I have seen about this case it sounds  to me like it is from an agenda driven article that is intentionally ignoring any nuance such as what they thought and later clarified and what they know with clarity or what they think is most likely etc.

You misread it.

That statement said Israeli Soldiers only aimed at terrorists, therefore if someone besides a terrorist was killed by one of their bullets, it was unintentional.

So now that raises another question. How can the soldier possibly have known it was his/her bullet that killed the US citizen? Did he/she know because of the press marking on the vest?

I really don't know. That is why an investigation is needed. Israel can allow whatever they see fit but the investigation is necessary.
