Already booked an AA reservation, called AA and they said you can't use virtual AA GC's to purchase baggage.

can anyone confirm if this is correct? (LGA>MIA)

Funny that for Platinum $200 credit they allow it as a legitimate charge, but AA themselves won't accept it. No wonder why they are going bankrupt!  :P

you got it wrong-- you could have  used your c.c. to pay for luggage fee , you chose to buy  gift cards --g c -- they are only good only for airfare originating  basically in the states  as t/c state
