Landed in LGA at 1:10pm today and tried requesting a ride beginning about 1:25pm.
For 10 minutes I got the message "no cars available", then at 1:34pm a car appeared and was 10 minutes away. 15 minutes later at 1:48pm the driver had moved further away and was now 14 minutes away. I sent the driver a text and a minute later the driver turned around and headed towards LGA, finally picking up at 2:04pm.
Revel will direct you to Aisle E for the pickup at Terminal B in LGA, the driver went straight for aisle H instead.
The driver never wrote back why he was heading away from LGA.. but my feeling is in-line with what I heard from a previous driver a few weeks ago. Because drivers are not paid per ride, they are not motivated to do as many rides and Revel does not have a great system at enforcing. So many drivers play the system and do the minimum expected, and idle around after.
FWIW the ride was quoted to be a bit over $60 when requested, but only $53.92 credit was deducted.
