Ner Mitzva sells Extra Virgin Olive Oil? Pics plz.
His point is that extra virgin olive oil is by definition edible. It's oil extracted using mechanical means, not chemicals (or heat), and has a low enough acidity take it edible.

Pressed oil with too high acidity is not called Extra Virgin, it's lampante. The lighting oils are usually not even that (according to what small research I did, @moko  probably knows more) and are instead refined or pomace oil, meaning oils extracted from the pulp and seeds, using heat and chemicals, and/or refined to make them more stable, remove and bad taste, and raise their smoke point.
That stuff lichora A) is not the shemen zayis of the gemara, even if it came from an olive B) I'd assume a higher smoke point oil doesn't burn as well as a low one. Haven't really read anything authoritative on the matter.

You would eat Ner Mitzvah EVOO?
If it's not edible, its not EVOO.
So unless they are playing games with the truth, yes, why not?

Many years ago, a friend used ner mitzvah oil for latkes, I can assure you it's not edible.

[kidding aside it tasted horrible, but it was in a dirah with many factors at play. Also it may be edible, even if not tasty]

Didn't know they make.
Assuming they aren't lying, no reason not to eat it, besides its exorbitant price.
Most people that buy from frum companies are buying the other stuff.

I personally use this bottle from Costco. Decent price for decent grade oil. It taste very good and cooks well.

If you use happen to order from IC and have the GC at 20% off. You would be paying $13.77 for about 50.5 OZ (101oz at 27.54$).

without IC you can get this in store for a bit less than the 34.. probably more like 29.99.

the one who asked the question asked about extra light. He posted a link which only has light. So I asked if they taste the same.

Wow! It never occured to me that getting Costco delivered can be the same price let alone cheaper.

I usually schlep out once a month or so to Costco and it's a big pain. After seeing this I made an order last night that's supposed to come in a few hours. Total came out sliglhtly cheaper than if I went in person plus it saved me tons of time. Thank you very much @myi !!!

I just need to watch out for this I guess

The only real downside I see right now is that they dont deliver gas  ;)

But by not visiting the store you miss out on spending money on all these enticing products they put out seasonally which you don't need. :-\

Of course enjoy. Let alone the 20% discount on IC when buying from Costco. Stacking with the offers from instacart and costco same day is another way to stack savings.  Just buy the GC online or in store when you can. From Costco specifically using same day is a tad cheaper in fees vs buying from instacart app direct.
I personally enjoy going to costco to see what they have and all the new products.  But save my big orders for instacart.

Bingo has extra light for $14 2L bottle. But some Poskim prefer using extra virgin.
