that is true. but (imho) most are something very close to  a science we just dont know what the science is. i dont believe when things (cc approvals,decline, purchases, memberships, ect) are all done comp that its ymmv. its like saying cc invites are ymmv

i dont agree with his def of ymmv either. my point is its used way way way to often. would you say a cc invite or all other targeted offers are ymmv? i wouldnt  i would say most things are set up comp programmed and if any two scenario were exactly the same they would get the same results
ex. is the citi aa card with 50k churnable? answer: ymmv. 
i think that if two ppl had the same credit history same length of years, number of accounts, income, age, job, ect. they would get the same response  its not ymmv

I'd say matching is YMMV, as is 2/3BM and and other such hacks (which aren't "set up" by the CC issuer).

i dont know anything about comp or hacks to disagree but i dont think a 2bm is a hack. i dont think its underminding the way the program is set up. i am not trying to argue with your wording my point is its running under the normal circumstances that it was set up

Reality is that in many of these instances people do the same things and end up with different results. I'm not going to argue this further, but you haven't convinced me of anything (besides your incoherence).

YMMV means Your Mileage May Vary (from that of another person).

Whether its a science or not, the fact that it happened to someone doesn't mean it'll happen to you. Or visce versa.
