No. I was sure that such a basic thing i will be flooded with options and the hard part willl be sifting through the deals, but i didnt get anything.

Call thru Google voice.

You need to go to Legacy Voice and then go to the phone number's advanced settings.

Just a helpful hint: inserting a Pause (P or ,) in the contact info on your phone between the calling-card/google number, the access code and the number can save you time when dialing.
For example: If your calling card number is 1800-123-4567 your access code is 4321 and your bubby's number is 01197298765432, you can save your contact as: Bubby: 18001234567,4321,01197298765432

If you save the common numbers on your phone like in the 3rd quote it can be as good as direct.
