Surveillance cameras

Some pickpocket is using our building to drop of his empty stolen wallets and pocketbook. (we live on a quite road next to a major transportation hub)
We would like to install some kind of inobtrusive camera system, to sort of catch the guy in the act and share the footage w/ the police.
We do not want to hardwire, and do not have an available internet connection to run it off of.
Are their any off the shelf products that may be usefull?

I'm tech savy-ish but really have no idea where to start.
The vaad bayit doesn't really have any budget to cover this, so I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive solution

No wires, requires an SD card. Cheaper wyze cameras can be used they need to be setup in WiFi they can be used without a connection but require a power cable and SD card.

I had tried the wyze (not that version, the cheaper one) and I bumped into issues that anytime it was powered off it "forgot" that it was supposed to write to the SD card instead of wifi, so didnt work for me. What did work was this:

(you dont NEED the solar panel, just it looks like the item itself is out of stock)
You charge it, set it up once with the app or desktop app, to setup the motion detect settings etc, and then you can put it out and it works fairly well. Not sure how to set this up unobtrusively but be creative. I think most of the Reolink ones would work well, if a different shape works better for your purpose. Let us know the results!

You know the marketing rule: if they didn't brag about its recording time, it must not have any.
Comparison products on the bottom claim 70 minutes, and this one isn't brave enough to claim that, so it must be less.

they charge a subscription for motion detection, only free for live streaming. I guess I should have been more clear that I wanted to have the clips after motion detected saved and be able to watch later....

seems like they started charging a subscription as of a year ago. are you sure you are not getting charged? or maybe they kept you for free from before?
