all he means is that 2 IHG points are worth less than 1 point of some of their other partners. Like Hyatt for example. The value of your redemption will have to be greater than 0.63 just to beat the Expedia portal, which is pretty high for IHG points. Also, IHG frequently sells points for.5 cents apiece so this akin to valuing Bilt points at 1 cent apiece which is very low.

Obviously can make sense with a very specific redemption in mind but definitely not speculatively or even for a planned redemption if its long out (you can probably buy points at.5 cents before your redemption)
