no big deal to get a rifle /shotgun/(AR15) license in brooklyn. You just have to get a license, whereas most states (i.e. Cleveland) dont even require one. A handgun is difficult to get, and a concealed carry is darn near impossible.

In New York, out of NYC, you do not need to have any license to purchase a rifle. All you need is not to be a convicted felon

A handgun license is impossible unless you're well connected.
A rifle/shotgun license is difficult & expensive. You could get one but they really make you jump through hoops and wait forever.
That being said, had i known how long I would end up being in NYC I probably would've done it years ago...

a homeowners permit for a handgun is very possible it just takes about a year to go through the deterrent process . a carriers license is possible but only if you can show that you carry thousands of dolllars every day, so basically only work related. and rifle/shotgun is easier than handgun

IIRC that's for a "business carry permit" (I forget exactly what they call it) which officially can only be used while conducting said business, and I'm pretty sure I read that people who those get hassled a lot...

true so we either have to find a business that makes lots of money and the hours are all day and night or its time to become friends with the police commissioner
