I hope you do realize that: 1. Your sample size is very small, which could generate skewed results. 2. Your poll options might be confusing.

Also maybe if you superimpose on it the languages spoken at home that might explain a thing or two. For example, my parents spoke English to me as a kid growing up in EY. I spoke Yiddish (at least to my older kids) in the US.

The vast majority of 1-DDFers 2-that responded are tatties ben tatties.

Well i think that because this sight is run and frequented by Lubavitchers we can assume that the vast majority of Lubavitchers call their father ta(tte) and have their children call them ta(tte).

Before you ask the question we have to put what i said into context .
The question was regarding what you call your father and what your kids call you. This quesion for a guy who peeks at DDF once in a while is not interesting and he won't answer. It's the diehards that will answer this poll. Also, a Lubavitcher is much more proud of his Judaism and his Yiddish than the average Jew. This is also a factor in his answering the poll.
Going back to your question, i believe of all DDFers, only 5-10% are Lubavitchers, but of the diehards, its more like 15-20%.
Of the ones that answered the poll, i believe that 30-35% of the ones that answered are Lubavitchers and another good 15-20% are Yeshivish or Heimish and are more connected to the Yiddish language than most. Of all those, its probobly like 95% use tatte x2.

Obviously, there are many other ways to explain the results (including the most obvious one). It was a tongue in cheek comment in reference to the post above about sampling bias.
