While I don't think this is big change (remember they have already changed the limit before, so the apparatus for this change was already in place. Could be just a config change, in theory), I do concede that it's a bigger feature add than I thought would be possible.
However, don't forget that when they released it - a large chunk of the system went down for most of the day yesterday. The stability of the backend, in general, seems very flaky; so yeah they're adding features - but I still have strong doubts about the viability of the system while adding features, IMO they're likely incurring a ton of tech debt to "finance" these changes, since they don't have the institutional knowledge anymore to properly architect.
I've been part of these shifts - where a company lays off most of their IT department and outsources the development, losing institutional knowledge: development continues but features are shoehorned into to wherever seems convenient with little concern about the long term effects. So development eventually tapers off into months (even year) long release cycles because there just so much tech debt that they can't make a even a "minor" change without breaking the whole system.
