That likely has always been like that. Possibly because it's used very often used a pejorative, possibly even more often than the proper use of the term.

Jew is also used commonly as a slur. I don't understand what google did wrong here...

Yes I'm also curious to see where the writer defends it please?

It's nice they changed the header shot, but they just switched it with an internal image so now the 2 images in the article are for a community hundreds of miles away, and while there was a passing reference to that community, where are they overly represented in the images? Generic pictures of people or vaccinations/clinics/etc fine I understand they need to use stock footage, but why are both pics of a highly visible regularly targeted minority?
