I'm told by my school aged children that the overwhelming majority of their classmates are going to Florida for midwinter vacation. This trend seems to have grown mostly over the last five years.

For context, these are schools with relatively strong-yeshiva-hashkafos where most graduates start off their marriage with themselves/their husband learning in kollel.

I guess it's official. The standards have risen.

I'm in a "MO machmir" type community and it's kinda non negotiable for my shalom bayis that we go somewhere hot every yr lol. Stopping orlando for a couple days then off to mexico next week. BH for points/miles. Generally speaking I've found that flights are actually pretty easy it's the hotels I need to up my game with, and prepare further in advance
