SPG to LAN transfer - how to expedite?

I transferred points from Starwood Preferred Guest to LANpass on December 23, 2011. LAN tells me that the points can take up to 60 days to transfer, despite Starwood's email confirmation that says 2-4 weeks.  Other posts on this forum suggest that transfers typically take 3-14 days.  Can anyone tell me if there's something I can do to expedite the transfer? I am concerned that it may not go through at all.

It will go through eventually... I had the same thing and waited more then 3 weeks but it went through in the end..

After 4 weeks you should be able to get SPG to look into it.

LAN is the slowest of the SPG transfers IME.

You can call up Starwood and ask them to expedite it for you, and it should take 24-48 hours then. (I posted elsewhere about my experience with an SPG transfer to AA.) But it may be easier to do that if you haven't already initiated the transfer.

I can now report that the transfer was processed in 53 days, with no apologies from either LAN or SPG. I will advise SPG that they should change their documentation to reflect realistic timelines. After waiting over 40 days, I eventually had to give up and buy a ticket. I completed my YYZ-LGA round trip yesterday and am now stuck with 16,000 km in my LANpass account with no plans to take a short haul before they expire.

You may have been able to have SPG reverse the transfer before they showed up in your LAN account. But it's probably too late now.
