You do not need to have an "unlocked" phone, any verizon phone except prepaid will work.

FYI: Just activated an iPhone 4 on pageplus.
On my first attempt they noticed from the esn that it was an iphone and told me it was banned, but on the second attempt the activation went thru no prob.

If they do an ESN sweep you'll be booted.

With an Android or iPhone you'd need to have background data off, and pray really hard that you don't run out of data by the end of the week.
