$3.50 at whole foods per dz.
Indecently, organic peppers were cheaper than the regular peppers.

Costco seems to be the most consistent low cost during these times. Picked up 10dz last week, but I'm not sure what I paid, as someone else I was shopping with picked them up, and I didn't check the receipt after the fact.
Costco was sold out the last 2 weeks every time i was there ( i dont buy my eggs there since they switched to Free Range vs. Pasture Raised)

With a single purchase of $160 tells me it’s a loss-leader.

Could have told you that even without seeing those words. Anyone selling a dozen eggs for under $3 nowadays is selling it as a loss leader.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Cheaper at Costco?
Possibly slightly, but that means shopping at Costco, which always ends up costing more (buying lots of things that you didn't come in for) and dealing with awkward trays instead of cartons in your fridge.

We hold onto the old cartons for when we buy from Restaurant Depot or Bj's and transfer them

As I mentioned upthread, GoPuff is $3.79 and $10 is free with a chase card.

Cheaper at Costco?
I paid $15.99 for 5 dz L in costco yesterday. That comes out to $3.20 per dz.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.
