When the law can be changed and laws have been changed before they go into effect it is not disingenuous, it is fact.
As an example, IL signed a law last year for the end cash bail that has already been changed.
Now you are talking about something in 2030 which is a lifetime away.
Your original statement was that "they are not banning gas stoves!" that was incorrect. Moving goalposts.
As of April 1st, the City of Los Angeles will not approve plans that include NG plumbing or appliances. this is on the books, and is already in effect for many smaller cities around the state.
and we are talking about a state that has a history of keeping stupid laws on the books - for example (and there are many):
California is having a massive egg shortage. California passed a law last year requiring cage-free chicken’s eggs and a massive outbreak of bird flu killed 60 million chickens across the country; it’s supposed to be 7-8 months until new chickens can be born and lay enough eggs so that the supply is in line with the demand.
Just in my line of work:
There is a whole industry here of black market shower heads and faucets smuggled in from AZ so people can take a normal shower. You can't buy incandescent lightbulbs for years already. CFL's are banned starting January 2024. you can't buy KILZ primer in anything larger than quart size. You can't buy a toilet with more than 1.6 GPF. that's just off the top of my head.
