No, you missed the point. His own party called on him to resign because a massive deal was made about his lies in the media. The same cannot be said for other politicians, including the sitting president. The double standard in how these stories are reported is my point. I specifically said that the types of lies Santos made are the same as what Biden did and does. Just fabricates stories and accomplishments about himself, his family, etc. Biden's lies have also affected others more negatively than Santos', like the drunk driver claims, which he continued to make after apologizing somewhat for them.

Ok, disprove my spin. Show me the media scrutiny on Biden's many, many, false claims. And there has been reporting on some of them, like the Mandela and drunk driver ones, but weirdly those were never spoken about in a way that disqualifies him. Show me the scrutiny on Julia Salazar who faked being Jewish and wasn't removed as a candidate by the Dems *before* her election. Show me the scrutiny on Kamala Harris, etc.

You’re explaining how it *looks* different but not what actually distinguishes the lie. His point is that the reason it *looks* different is because of the angle of the media, not because it’s inherently distinguishable.
