Another example.... shelf life can be 3 weeks if stored properly. It's not washed.

short answer is they have multiple facilities. Just because one is certified, doesn't mean the others are.

ETA: I called the OU. They said the non mehadrin lettuce needs to be checked, that they are a regular miyut hamatzui, and that the mehadrin lettuce is a special run.

I am super skeptical for a number of reasons. Smells alot like POF and Krieders farms...

Browery Mehadrin has a separate dedicated facility? If so I stand completely corrected. are you aware of the additional measures they have in place?

The OU hotline rep said it was a special run, not a separate facility. Considering it takes a few weeks to grow, I'm having some difficulty understanding how that would work.

so not a special run then? Also, according to their business model, they source their produce for local facilities to save on shipping costs and improve shelf life. So according to your (theory?), all bowery produce sold in this region may be the same exact as the "mehadrin" label. Obviously thats pure speculation on my part.

I'm just asking the questions to try and understand. If you know anything conclusive, please share.

I also wonder why they don't do Kale Mehadrin, as those are generally harder to check.
