Hi,

I received the attached letter 10 days after returning vehicle.

Has anyone ever been charged such a cleaning fee?

Car was driven for 3 days never even used the trunk or back seats...

I requested the proof and 2 pictures of the "excessive garbage" were emailed to me, which were 2 small empty plastic bottles and a small snack size ziploc bag left and piece of paper on passenger seat.

Any Suggestions?

Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Why not start with the second? Or try Twitter first (if they have a presence).

Update:

I contacted Avis Customer service...and said it was ridiculous to be charged a $450 fee for such an insignificant amount of garbage which they called " excessive garbage"..they right away offered to reduce it to 75% off the $450 fee, which I refused to accept and then after some further negotiations he  went to 50% which i refused and then I asked for a supervisor and he immedaitly removed the complete fee which was followed up by an email letter confirming that the fee was removed...but he said he was going to put a note on my Avis profile that it was a one time courtesy and that this won't be offered again....I plan on following up with a more formal complaint to corporate.

I feel they are just taking advantage of the client...
