French speeding ticket

A few months ago I rented a car in Italy for a week and drove to a few other countries, I just received a notice that i got a speeding camera ticket in France anyone know the best way to handle this or have any experience? Can I just ignore it, should I just pay it?

if you were retreating (heading into france) then its ok. If you were going out of france then they might not like it so much.

Not sure what you mean Moshe can u please explain?
Also can this possibly cause problems with renting from hertz again in Italy, or maybe France causing me problems at the border?

i was making a joke based on the french notion to retreat every time they face an enemy. sorry if it was misunderstood.

I have a speeding camera ticket in Italy on a rental car. Does that have to paid?
