I just realized this year. It says hashata hacha lshana haba...
But usually it's pronounced hashta not hashata. IDK what's different in dikduk
Hashta means now HaShata means this year.
There are different girsaos in the rishonim... the mesivta hagdah mentions them as well as brings multiple explanations why we'd be asking for something next year and not now this year.

Does everyone ask this question at their Seder?

Why don't we make a Beracha on the Haggadah?
If you do what's right, Hashem will do what's left!

Indeed,
..  hagadas shlaima from R Kasher is a good mareh makom

Hu Shata can also be a contraction of הא שעתא or הא שעה. So the nikkud doesn't necessarily give it away.

(There are those who say at the end of achienu the proper term there is hu shata; as well. There the order of hasta ba'agala ub'zman kariv would need to be explained. )

Yeah every kid comes home with that gematriya every year

I was mistaken. It doesn't say this gematriya in the Rebbe's haggada, it *does* say it is referring to the havtacha.

A must is the Hakdamah on the Haggadah by the Malbim. (Note: not printed in every Haggadah!).

It explains how the seemingly totally awkward order in the Haggadah makes perfect sense.

People who read this, do not understand how one could have made the Seder without.

The Pashtus of my upload of the Hakdama is signature Malbim.

If there is demand for it here, I shall try to post.

Thanks for adding the upload! I could not find it printed previously.

This is a fascinatingly brilliant and equally simple thing, yet I've told it over to tens of people of the last decade and NONE of them ever thought of it, nor heard of it, before.

I heard that it's in the Malbim Haggadah, but I have not found it inside yet. Do you know where I can find it. (I heard it originally, but never read it.)

Maybe a little late... I use the Nachlas Tzvi Hagadda and can't reccomend it enough very easy Artscroll like translation in Hebrew - while explaining the flow of the hagaadah at every step! (with footnotes mostly from Rishonim and early Achronim.)
Under the line on the right side you have some interesting Hassidic notes which I honestly never read...

This year you have shabbos.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

My favorite calendar setup, so I can take a nap and not fall asleep during the seder. Definitely the most important seder prep

Print it.
Plus I wrote a shortcut if it is too long.
