Once they know to look for signs of something, they can analyze saved data to find something that was not noticed at the time

He might have the right idea though. The object most of us think is the moon was put up by america in the mid 60's after they removed and hid the real moon to prevent other countries from landing there. Since then we've all been saying kiddush levana on the artifical moon. There's a good chance that what the media is telling us was a "balloon" was actually the real moon that China uncovered and was trying to return to its place in the sky, so saying kiddush levana on it might be the first time in 50+ years anyone got it right

Just for the optics this is worth it for China
1) Has a Balloon Fly through the continental US, while citizens taking photos and vids a Chinese military craft flying over their homes.
2)Additional Balloons spotted over other countries
3)Another mysterious object which officials have no idea how it's even in the air Shot down over the US
4) Jets are scrambled to for a radar false alarm
5) Closed airspace over Montana of defense reasons

What does this look to you like? To me it's very clear the Chinese are playing with the weak Biden Admin doing acts of war, with the only US response stopping Blinken visit.
