Anyone use something like this to connect their bluetooth headphones to the IFE? Any recommendations? What about multi-prong headphone plugs?

I used this for a similar use and it worked excellent.

Not sure why the one you linked is so expensive. Looks like it does have better battery life though...

Why would an airplane be different?

This is actually something I always wondered. So many people walk around with Bluetooth earbuds/headphones why have planes not implemented Bluetooth to the IFEs?

Is it because it would be to complicated to have a different Bluetooth connection at every seat and people would end up connecting to the wrong one?

ETA are there any planes that have Bluetooth? just because I never saw it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

My  prizes from CV :)

No idea why they don't use it, but definitely is capable. Most of them are running android.

I flew EWR-MCO United 737 MAX-8 last week and both ways had Bluetooth IFEs.

Not sure why the one you linked is so expensive.

It was just a random example to show what I meant.

I've had it a number of times but still relatively rare.

Right thats exactly my point. That one is expensive. Not sure what would make it so much more than the one I linked too... Mayne someone can explain what benefits that one has...

Flexible connector is a huge benefit for tight plug spaces on airplanes. Battery life also seems better, and you can use it while charging unlike your link.

Both are flexible. Regarding using while charging:
"Generally, we do not recommend using it while charging, since it does not have a power isolation module."
Sounds like its possible.
Guess its mainly the battery life.

I got one for my last trip to Israel and it worked flawlessly for the whole flight.

Now only wish I got one sooner...
