should i split the charges on (2) existing AA card to continue my AA instant status match to exec plat or
 charge to amex business plat, get 60 (40*1.5) and then when i use 35% back end up with 80 value

You can have multiple of any version of the Ink cards. Also, no harm in closing them (other than the Ink Plus obviously) if you are worries about it.
Apply for them again for you and P2. Just research the recommended Chase velocity first.
