This would be very disappointing. Their matza has always been my favorite and was the go to brand for my family for more than 40 years.

I see the mention but no article there which I guess is why it did not pop up when I searched before posting.

Any recommendations for something that has a similar density and taste to Shatzer?

Not sure which chabura, but the one I had is about ⅓ the thickness of Shatzer.

i think kerestir is similar to shatzer
i used to not like boro park matza bc it was so thick, but i made a 180, it actually has a good taste and the crunch is gevaldig.

you gotta strike the balance, too thin are good for the elderly, too thick is good for matzha coffee, it needs to be thick enough to taste and thin enough to chew

I did not see the blend, but did make the trip and purchased yesterday BH. Thank you everyone for your input.

According to them all are a blend. IIRC the difference is 60/40 vs 40/60

There was a price list posted on the wall which had some titles for various types of matzas. There were some that I was not familiar with, including "Oregon" which I was told is made with special flour from a location in Oregon where there is less precipitation. Its possible that one of the kinds was the blend that you were referring to.
