Point is we compared the Electrolux and Frigidaire when we bought them, and the Electrolux drawers seemed more durable to us.

Sorry, I just violated one of my own rules which is not post any Hebrew references in a conversation with someone who could have a hard time figuring it out. So I'll explain.

It's a riff on the Mishnah in Avos (Ethics of our Fathers) which says "In a place where there are no men, strive to be a man." I replaced the words "men" and "man" with "TimT", so it connotes, "When TimT is not around, strive to be a TimT."

nice. The problem is today is that model is discontinued and the other models cost double that. The one I posted up thread is the same price but much smaller as is not a name brand. Maybe this is life after Covid  🤔

I have the Frigidaire Pro for 5+ years. Paid 1300 each+ trim kit. Very happy so far. Ice machine works great. 1 drawer front broke off but otherwise no issues.

We paid 1590 each for the FPRU19F8RF in 2019. Also have a broken drawer front (because one of the younger kids basically used it as a handle to climb up to the higher levels). Very happy with it so far.

The problem is, that post covid its going for 6-7k for a set. I had an appliance repairmen, that told me that these days most of his business comes from those frigidaires, so definitely not worth to spend so much and to have to sign up with repair subscription .

Wow! When I bought it they said they're coming out with a new version. Did that happen? Was there any improvements? Or just improvements in the volume of work for repairmen?

you can get counter depth or standard, wider and narrower

Mine are shallower - counter depth.

End result is it has about the same square footage as a big regular fridge, but easier use, not more annoying. Easier to see what you have, less likely (though not impossible) to lose things in the back of the fridge.
