Puerto Rico as the 51st state

I never really contemplated it, but I think pr should be a state, maybe incorporate PR and usvi as one state .

How can we have 3 million Americans in an area 3 times the size of Rhode island and it's just a Commonwealth

Guam, American Samoa and northern Mariana islands have much smaller populations.

It seems like a weird situation and an injustice.

There's no more Puerto Rico independence movement

It's split between commonwealth and state but state has been the majority in voting.

I think the Senate should ratify it as a state

It's just incomprehensible that 3 million us citizens, 2 hour flight from main land are a us territory.

Hawaii is significantly farther away etc

Since 1917 Puerto Ricans have been us citizens.. that means no one is alive today not born a us citizen
