Recent aviation near mass casualties

Seems like in the past 2-3 months we’ve had multiple extremely close calls, another one being reported today by Air current. What’s going on here ? Does the FAA need a major cultural change ? Definitely does not make feel very safe flying

Given that they didn’t need to report it to ATC It makes sense why it never got out. I would guess one of the crew had guilty feelings and reported it to them.

United confirmed this one. They sent the pilots for "additional training".

I stand corrected...seems unusual that this took 7+ weeks to hit MSM....

Feels like a pretty substantial incident...

seems like a similar story happened with a Qatar Airways B787 in the past month https://www.arabianbusiness.com/industries/transport/qatar-airways-flight-plunges-1000ft-towards-sea-after-doha-take-off
